Most writers use several different tools to plan, track and write their work — a notes app, a timeline tool, a handwritten structure board, a word processor.
Zemble does it all in one place.
Write freely in the Think pad — or import your notes. Pour everything in without worrying about order or structure.
Select any passage and click the button to turn your notes into a card. Each card appears in the left panel as you make it, ready to place on the planning board.
Place your cards in chronological, thematic, or writing order. Toggle between Strands to see thematic groupings, Sequence to see reading order, and Timeline to see them laid out in time. Cards renumber themselves automatically as you move them.
Connections
Connections highlights associations between cards. Track echoes, clues or callbacks. Keep track of narrative beats and see at a glance which moments relate to one another.
Click any card to open its writing space. Your notes, research and character cards sit alongside the manuscript so the material you need is always within reach. When you're ready, Compile assembles everything in your chosen order, ready to read, edit, or export as a PDF, Word document, or plain text file.
Track your writing
Track your daily word count, set session targets, and move your novel, article or essay from first thought to completed piece.
Set a target for each card and watch it fill from the planning board. See at a glance which sections are written, which are underway, and which still need work.
A daily word count record builds over time. A streak counter and a thirty-day chart show the habit forming.
Set a word count and a time target. Tackle the blank page with focused writing sessions.
