Getting started

Which browsers does Zemble work in?
Chrome and Edge, on a laptop or desktop. Safari and Firefox can open it but can't save to a file on your computer, so we don't recommend them yet.

How do I get it?
Go to zemble.net in Chrome or Edge and sign in. Zemble will offer to add itself to your computer, so it opens like any other app.

Does it work offline?
Yes, once it has loaded.

Can I try it before I buy?
There's no free trial. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can use it properly and decide.

Do I get updates?
Yes. They arrive automatically the next time you open Zemble. There's nothing to download.

Your writing

Where is my work stored?
On your computer, in a selected folder, ideally one that automatically backs up to your cloud. Nothing is stored on our servers. We never have a copy of your writing.

Does Zemble use AI?
No. Zemble is an AI-free zone. None of your work is ever sent to or seen by an AI, and Zemble won't write anything for you.

Can I download my writing from Zemble?
Yes, whenever you like. Select and compile to Word, PDF or plain text, or download a complete backup of every project.

Can I use Zemble on multiple devices?
Not yet. Use one device at a time for now. If you change or upgrade your laptop or computer, you can bring Zemble with you. To move a project, use Save a copy on one and Open a saved copy on the other.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?
You will still have access to your work, but you will no longer be able to write or edit on Zemble. You can export and download your writing to another programme. If you subscribe again, you can continue where you left off, or import any new writing from the time your subscription was paused.

Paying

How much is it?
£8 a month or £60 a year. The first 200 subscribers pay a founders' membership of £40 a year, and will keep that price for as long as they stay.

Is VAT included?
Yes. Outside the UK, the checkout shows the price with your local tax.

Can I get a refund?
Yes. Refunds are available for thirty days from your first payment, no questions asked. See the refund policy.

Who takes the payment?
Paddle handles card transactions and tax. We never see your card or have access to your payment details.
